Assembly reflection

On the ninth of November we performed a assembly. I had to perform as a farmer. I felt no nervousness as I walked out on to that stage. Libby and Kori were the host's and Kori was so nervous. Our assembly was called same same but different. My favourite part was the game show and the cow to glass. I was also part of the one hundred people project and the synonymes on same and different. I didn't find anything difficult.

if the world was shrunk to 100 people

We had to create a pie graph. My graph was about if the world was shrunk to one-hundred people fifteen of them wouldn't have enough food to eat. It was hard to estimate how much fifteen percent would be. We used a protractor to estimate how much fifteen percent was.

Great egg drop challenge

We had a great egg drop challenge last week. We had twelve minutes to make a structure for our egg. We each got news paper, sellotape, two ice block sticks and three straws. When our twelve minutes were up we all went outside and Mr Marquand stood on a chair and drooped our eggs one by one, everyone failed except for our table group INDIA!!!!!!!! And since we won we got to share a chocolate Brownie.

Adding detail

We have been learning to add detail to our sentences in writin. We started off with I fell on the ground, then we had to add other words into the sentence. I write I slipped onto the ground then we had to add more detail to the sentence and my whole sentence came out to be I was running in my socks and slipped on the black tiles and I felt my organs slowley shutting down.

Discovery Speech

My speech topic was on Voyager 1 and 2. I chose this topic because I like space. Before my speech I felt like I wouldn't get into the speech semi-finals and I also felt nervous about the timing of my speech. After my speech I felt relieved that it was over. I am really proud of my speech because it was two minutes and fifty-one seconds. Next time I would like to improve on remembering my speech and gestures.
